So happy we finally popped in to try Matthew’s. This place is centrally located, amazing ambiance, delicious craft cocktails, and friendly bartenders. Great little date night spot. Great addition to Bellingham. 10/10 recommend!!

Best drinks! We order some from the menu and some classic out of the menus, everything was great! But the negroni was out of bounds! Seth, Joe and Nick are the best!

Great drinks. The decor is on point. The bar seats were super comfortable. This place made me consider moving to Bellingham just so I can be a regular at this place.

We had a great experience here on a Saturday night. It was busy, but we found a table for 2 quickly. Our waiter was really kind and knowledgeable, and brought us one of the best espresso martinis that we’ve ever had. One of the weekly specials was the Maid Marion which was also amazing. All of the staff members were bubbly and very helpful! The drinks are priced similarly to drinks a nice restaurant, but I think they are better than they would be at most restaurants :)

The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. I tried the espresso martini, and it was amazing! It was a bit pricey, but the atmosphere and quality are worth it. It’s a great place to go on a date or with friends.

This place is great. Everything is so clean, which I appreciate. And then they know their classics. Delicious cocktails and friendly service. Hope to come back soon!

Absolutely incredible experience! First of all the staff was amazing. They were hardworking, engaged, passionate and genuinely warm and interested. They work as a team so every bartender checked in with me, each taking orders and making drinks so you never have to wait for your specific server to be available. They engage with you in a genuine way. I wouldn't even call them bartenders but rather cocktail artists. They treat each drink like a piece of art as they build it and it shows in the way the drinks taste! Every bartender did everything from washing dishes to welcoming people in the door. It was prefect coordination that should be the envy of every bar or restaurant. The drinks were phenomenal. I had the Naughty Apple first which was a delightful treat. Often times I shy away from Apple drinks because they end up too sour or too sweet. This was perfectly balanced such that the cinnamon and lemon could play with your tastebuds while riding on a fluffy carpet of egg white. For my second drink I had Matthew's Mojito. I would say this mojito was the best I've ever had. It was so perfectly balanced that I fell in love with the succulent bubbles of carbonation tickling my tongue. All of the above was done in a clean and relaxing environment with great color and ambiance. This is truly what a bar experience should be. They've nailed it!

Comfy chairs—just like everyone says. Drinks were solid. I had the Barrel-Aged Oldie, and it hit all the right notes. My wife had the Juicy Peach and said it actually tasted like peaches, which isn’t always the case with fruity cocktails. Right in the heart of downtown, surrounded by local shops and a few chains. Parking can be a pain, but we got lucky about a block away. It wasn’t too busy when we stopped in, which made for a relaxed vibe. Bartender was friendly and easy to talk to. They’ve got a kitchen, but we didn’t eat this time. Good music, decent crowd, trivia on the TV if you’re into that. Definitely would come again.
